CHRISTIAN‘s POLICIES
Appointment & Deposit Policy
Each appointment is reserved exclusively for you. All deposits are nonrefundable, and cancellations will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Please book only when you are prepared to fully commit to your appointment.
We take scheduling seriously and maintain a 100% on-time record. We kindly ask that our clients extend the same level of consideration and punctuality.
Touch-Ups
Christian Otto is committed to creating tattoos with exceptional attention to detail, execution, and longevity. However, tattoos naturally evolve with your skin over time. Sun exposure, lifestyle, and changes to the skin can affect their appearance.
Touch-ups are considered only within one year of the original appointment and when genuinely necessary, such as complete ink loss in a specific area or complications involving scar tissue.
Tattoo Flash Appointments
Flash appointments are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and cannot be rescheduled. Availability is extremely limited, so please purchase only if you are prepared to commit.
Flash appointments are exclusively for pre-drawn black-and-gray designs. Designs are offered as drawn and cannot be altered or customized.
You will select your piece from Christian‘s flash book on the day of your appointment.
Appointment dates are selected after purchase.
Thank you for respecting our time, process, and policies.
We look forward to creating something exceptional with you.

The design process is intentionally collaborative and takes place in person. Meeting face-to-face allows us to discuss the piece, evaluate placement and proportion directly on the body, and make any necessary adjustments together. This ensures the final design and overall approach are tailored specifically to you.
With 17 years of experience, Christian has developed an efficient design process without compromising quality or attention to detail. Depending on the size and complexity of the piece, the drawing process typically takes 15–60 minutes on the day of your appointment.
This approach allows the artwork, placement, and composition to be considered together—resulting in a tattoo that feels intentional, personal, and designed specifically for your body.
-
The number of sessions required to complete full back or full front tattoo varies depending on the complexity of the design, the number of adjustments made throughout the process, and how well the client is able to sit during each appointment.
On average, large-scale front and back pieces are completed within 4–6 sessions, with each session consisting of a full six-hour day.
This timeframe is an estimate rather than a guarantee, as every project and client is different. However, when working within Christian‘s established process and under typical circumstances, clients can generally expect their piece to be completed within this range.
The process is designed to balance efficiency with the level of detail, composition, and execution required for a cohesive large-scale tattoo.
-
Every sleeve is approached as a unique composition. The scale and positioning of the primary elements influence how the entire piece flows and wraps around the arm, making each design completely tailored to the client’s anatomy.
On average, a full sleeve requires 4–6 sessions, with each session consisting of a full six-hour day. Although a sleeve may appear smaller than a full back piece, its overall tattooable surface area is surprisingly comparable, which is why the completion time is often similar.
The goal is not simply to fill the arm, but to create a cohesive, custom-fitted composition that flows naturally from every angle and feels intentionally designed for your body.

No. Christian does not offer pre-appointment consultations.
With over 17 years of experience, Christian has developed a process that allows the consultation, design, and tattoo experience to take place seamlessly on the day of your appointment.
As long as you have completed the booking process, reviewed Christian’s portfolio, and are familiar with the style and quality of work he specializes in, you can feel confident that your project is in experienced hands.
Your appointment includes dedicated time to connect, discuss your ideas, and collaborate on the direction of the piece. You’ll have the opportunity to settle in and work through the design together before tattooing begins.
This process allows Christian to consider your ideas alongside your individual anatomy, placement, scale, and overall composition in person—resulting in a piece that feels intentional, unique, and designed specifically for you.
The goal is a relaxed, seamless experience and a finished tattoo that both artist and client are proud of for years to come.

No. All deposits are nonrefundable.
Christian’s schedule is in high demand, and your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. Prior to your appointment, Christian also dedicates time to coordinating schedules, reviewing your project, developing creative direction, and gathering reference imagery in preparation for your tattoo.
Your deposit represents a mutual commitment to the project. If you choose to cancel your appointment, the deposit will be forfeited to account for the time invested in planning and scheduling your project, as well as the loss of the reserved appointment time.
Your deposit is not an additional fee. It will be applied toward the cost of your tattoo at your final session and deducted from the remaining balance due that day.
Because deposits are nonrefundable, we ask that you carefully consider your availability and commitment before booking.
Thank you and I am looking forward to creating an exceptional piece with you.
